Mission Possible

Mission Statement
Serving the local churches in Bulgaria by supporting their ministries towards individuals and society by providing training, publishing and social aid programs.
Ignat Ivanov was born in Bulgaria in 1958 in a pastor’s family. My father was the founder of the underground Pentecostal church in Sofia. That was during Communist time and the church faced many challenges, but that was also a time of miracles and God’s providence. I and my two elder brothers participated in ministry since young age. My brothers became pastors of the church. I myself moved to Finland in 1984, not being allowed to live in Bulgaria with my Finnish wife Mirjami with whom I was acquainted when she smuggled Bibles into Bulgaria in early 1980’s.
We made our home in Finland from where I began make trips to Russia to carry literature. In 1987 we were acquainted to Mission Possible and joined their ministry, first part time and later full time. I first served as coordinator for Russia and since 2001 as president of the organization. During the past over 20 years, I have been heavily involved in the ministry in Russia: church planting, education for churches, and street children’s and youth ministry.
We have two grown-up children and two grandchildren.
