Raising awareness of missions around the world.

Hearts for Heaven

Mission Statement
Hearts For Heaven is a ministry that hosts medical, construction, evangelism, or VBS short-term mission teams. The vision to share the Word of God doesn’t just stop with Guatemala. We want to excite others to the possiblity of mission work as short-term or long-term missionaries around the world.
Roger and Beth Briggs met and married while attending the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. After graduation in May of 1975 they operated a busy dental practice in Hayesville, located in the mountains of western North Carolinafor 17 years. During this time the Lord began to work mightily in the hearts of Roger and Beth, calling them into a closer relationship with Him and giving them a heart for the lost. In January of 1985, after three of four children were born, they began traveling to Guatemala, doing dental outreach to the Mayan Indians of the Central Highlands. Six years, and many trips later they felt that God was directing them to move full time to work as dental missionaries. Upon graduating from Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas the Briggs family of six moved down to Guatemala to begin their ministry, Hearts for Heaven. The ministry has been serving in Guatemala since 1992.
The Briggs have four grown children: John, Rachel, Rebekah and Sarah and five grandchildren: Elsa, Asher, Amos, Josiah and Seth. BetweenGuatemala,Charlotte, NC the children and grandchildren Roger and Beth stay very busy! Recently their daughter Rachel and her husband have answered a call to join Hearts for Heaven in Guatemala, where they hope to be serving by the end of 2012.
